There are some things that we shouldnt allow to be imported. Things like weapons, besides being partially immoral, are simply unneccesary. Other things can be harmful to the country at any given time. For example, if there were an infectious disease outbreak among African monkeys, importing them for scientific research would be a bad idea. Imports that should be allowed into the country can change depending on the situation.

There are many imports that should not be allowed in the United States. One of these imports should include of drugs. Drugs should not be allowed to come into the United States because of effects it can have on people and can cause a serious threat to someone's life. Another thing that should not be imported is alcohol, sure here in America we drink alcohol, but every country has there different "amounts" of alcohol and in some countries that amount is a lot more that should be consumed. One last thing that should not be imported to the United States is medicine, indeed medicine can help people, but coming from another country it may not be so safe to drink/eat/take.

More specifically:

I do not think anyone else but the United States should control and maintain our imports especially are major imports. I know that Dubai control I think two-four of our major imports. And the terrorists used for 9-11 used those imports to somehow sneak through without us knowing. I am not saying that Dubai is the one who helped, since they are the ones who are 'allied' with us, controling those major imports, but it only makes sense to have only the United States control them.

Many imports if we want to admit or not. Probably carry many illegal 'stuff.' We set limits/rules/laws but somehow seem to slip by and somehow manage to get in.

The only goods that should not be imported into the U.S. are goods that are in some way unsafe (such as toys that have lead paint). That is not to say that weapons or alcohol should not be imported. These goods carry implied risk regardless of if they are American-made or foreign-made. Imports allow competition and encourage companies to improve upon products. Only goods that do not meet U.S. standards or laws should not be imported, and because of our system of imports and exports, they aren't.

They Type of imports that shouldn't be imported into the U.S. are things that we already produce. Like oranges, and pineapples because we have states that can produce them now and if we import them then it should only be when they are not in season in the U.S.

Am item I think that should not be imported into the United States is wood. I think it’s a waste of time and money importing something we already have here in the U.S. Yeah people may like their coffee tables and other things made from certain wood from certain countries, but its not that serious and they can live without it. And like everyone else said things that can do harm to people should not be imported.

I do not feel that any imports should be excluded on the American market. It creates a diverse market of products and allows economic flow to all countries that are exporting. There will always be people that prefer products that are made in the U.S. so any money for those products will still be kept in america.
